Throughout my high school and college career in traditional sports, and throughout my post-college shooting sports competition, the motto “Look good, play good” has always been echoed. 

Now, some people will say that how you look has nothing to do with how you perform, and I’m guilty of this from time to time, but there is no denying the effect of wearing quality gear while performing on the field, on the court, in the water, at the range, or while at work. How does a DED product help you during competition?

Quick Drying & Moisture Wicking:

Many of us have competed in the rain, snow, high humidity, blistering heat, or a combination of conditions that lead to wet, damp, heavy clothing from water exposure or sweat alone. DED’s quick drying and moisture wicking fabric helps to keep your top light and dry a lot faster than most fabrics. I strongly appreciated this feature while I was in Finland at the Rifle World Shoot. The first day of the pre-match was plagued with rain for most of the day. I truly began to love the fabric of my DED jersey while I was waiting between stages. I never found myself feeling like I was soaked or cold. Even after some stages requiring us to shoot from prone in the rain.

SPF 35 Protection:

Those who know me, or if you have seen me in any of the Rainier Arms media channels, know that I am PASTY. Like, almost albino level of fair skin. To make things worse, I absolutely hate the feeling of sunscreen on my skin. Thanks to DED’s SPF 35 protection and long sleeve options, I can be outside in the Kansas blistering sun and avoid a sunburn and the use of sunscreen! This has been a HUGE help during the Triggrcon event we host annually. The last few years have been hot with many people getting some gnarly farmers’ tans! Luckily, my DED shirt was able to keep me from getting burned while I was outside all day during range day.

Anti-Bacterial Treatment:

This one is a no brainer. The anti-bacterial treatment helps to ensure your top isn’t smelling ripe while you’re out doing your thing! The people around you will appreciate this.
