The NOXs™ handguard was designed as an alternative to the outdated, bulky options of the past. Engineered as a lightweight, ultra-thin platform, the NOXs™ handguard is only 1.5” wide. Each NOXs™ handguard will be available with either the M-Lok or KeyMod mounting system at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions throughout the length of the rail, allowing the user to customize their platform with accessories as needed. Anti-rotation QD sling attachment points are milled directly into the hand guard, as are cooling slots, providing maximum airflow and preventing the barrel from overheating during prolonged periods of shooting.
The NOXs™ handguard comes equipped with a Patent Pending Cross-lok™ mounting system. This system ensures that anti-rotation is built into the steel barrel nut as well as the handguard making installation simple and rock solid with just basic hand tools. The NOXs™ handguards are Type III Hardcoat Anodized, matte black and available in 9, 12.8” or 15” lengths. As with all Seekins Precision handguards the NOXs™ ships with all of the needed hardware to mount to a standard upper receiver.

- must have special crowsfoot to installReview by Benjamin
-BUT, big issue with installation. Big enough that I emailed Seekins about it (which I never do). You must have a 1-1/4 inch crowsfoot to install the barrel nut to correct torque specs. In none of the descriptions I have read for shopping for this do they mention this (I always shop around, but usually end up just buying from Rainier anyways, you guys rock!). It says installs with basic hand tools, which it does, but you can't get correct torque specs with a crescent wrench or standard wrench. Crowsfoots are not uncommon, could be considered basic hand tools by some, but 1-1/4 inch is not; if you look at the sets that all your typical hardware stores sell (ACE, Lowes, Menards, etc.) they will not have that size. I was able to order one from Amazon, but that caused an unexpected delay in my build which I was not happy about.
-With that being said, this is an awesome rail at a great price point, from a very reputable company. You will not be disappointed with it, but make sure you have a 1-1/4 inch crows foot ready if you order this. (Posted on 4/18/2016)
