Our new BD-180 Blast Deflector is an inexpensive easy to install upgrade for short barreled rifle and AR Pistol applications. It redirects high pressure concussion, flame, and hot muzzle gasses forward away from the shooter and bystanders. This is especially important when shooting in tight quarters or in a line at the range.

The BD-180 is unique in it's application because it is trapped between the muzzle device and the barrel. It can be used in place of or in conjunction with a crush washer. At 1.36 inches in diameter and weighting in at a mere 2 ounces, it will fit inside most low profile or lightweight foreends without adding significant weight to the muzzle. Another advantage is the use of a T-60 torx wrench for installation. This gives the installer the flexibility to attach the BD-180 before or after the foreend has been assembled.

This kit comes complete with a BD-180 Blast Deflector, A1 Flash Hider, and a T-60 torx installation tool.

Works great!Review by
Simple and straightforward installation. Mounted it to an AR pistol with 10.5 barrel and it does a great job of projecting the concussion / flash away from the user. Recoil increase wasn't that noticeable to me. Price is more than fair.

Only downside I can see compared to other options is that if you're the kind of user that wants to remove the Blast Deflector frequently (or in the field), it won't be easy as clicking a button. You'll need a good wrench to use the included tool and secure vise with an upper receive block to do it well.

I'm content to leave mine on, tho... =)
