As one of the industry leaders in rail innovation and design, it is always a challenge to develop new products that not only operate well but also look great. The main goal of Fortis was to design an easy-to-install handguard and also mountable with a full 360 degrees contact. A new patent pending two-piece barrel nut is one of a kind. That's how Fortis night rail was developed.

Fortis designed this night rail from the ground up, and the machining time required to manufacture the barrel nut rivals the time needed to make the actual rail.

As a result, Fortis made a new product line called Night Series, compatible with AR-15 rifles.

One look reveals that this took some time in the design and development process. The barrel nut/mounting system maintains the rail running even under the most extreme conditions.
