A really nice tube. Pricey, but worth the money for me.Review by
I bought this (a Chro-Mo tube) because my build is really front heavy and I wanted some weight in the back normalize the balance (just a bit at least). I also wanted something tougher than an aluminum buffer tube.

So the tube arrived and it's great. I'm not certain what the finish is, it's almost like a powder coating, but it has a textured finish. Maybe it's an epoxy paint?

The design is a little strange. The inside of the tube is round, but the outside is machined as a series of flats (kind of like stop sign with ten sides).

The tube installed perfectly. The flats on the outside are fine, but cause an annoyance for me with my stock (which is why I went with a 4-star rating). My Mako GL collapsible stock fits snugly on a normal tube and does not rattle, but due to the flats it did not fit as snugly and had a slight looseness (about as loose as a normal collapsible stock is on normal tubes). To solve the issue I just drilled a hole and installed a nylon set screw in my stock and all is better.

Anyway, it's a great tube and it's tough as heck. Finally, it did exactly what I wanted for my build.
