Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT 300 + Staccato 2011 P | Build Buddy BFFs

Hey there, firearms aficionados! Thomas Phan here from Rainier Arms! I am thrilled to share my latest masterpieces: a meticulously curated build set featuring the Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT and the sleek Staccato 2011 P. Strap in and get ready. We'll take a deep into these paired builds.

Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT .300BLK Pistol - 9"

Let's kick things off with the heart of the setup—the SIG 300 BLK MCX Spear LT.  The .300 Blackout is optimized to burn all its powder in a shorter barrel, making it ideal for SBRs and large-format (i.e., AR, AK, and other style) pistols. 300 BLK is much more efficient than 5.56 in such weapons.

My short-barreled rifle (SBR) is a compact 9" build. Chambered in .300 BLK so it packs a punch, this rifle boasts substantial versatility. The SS 8RP JMAC Skeleton Stock with 1913 folder helps keep it concealed in a bag or case.

Handling Enhancements

Precision is the name of the game. Or at least name of the game. Another is manipulability. These two considerations drove my selection of rifle accessories. All of them should be on your short list of AR 15 upgrades if you happen to be looking.

A Next Level Armament MCX Charging Handle and Spring Plate have a large surface area to charge the rifle, helping ensure smooth operation and quick handling. An Emissary Development M-LOK handbrake is there to further optimize handling and comfort.

A further ergonomic addition is the Ergo Aggressive Texture AR15 Suregrip. Being a paintball player, I'm used to wielding paintball markers with rubber grips. Ergo provides that natural feeling, giving me a nice tactile grip when handling the rifle.

Running along the hand guards, you'll see Ergo M-Lok rubber panels for added gripability.

I use the MagPod Base Plate for GEN3 PMAG mostly to balance this gun and others for taking work pics, but... It could (and should) also be used to provide monopod-like stability when you're in the appropriate shooting positions.

Tactical Upgrades and Functionality

A suite of tactical enhancements elevates the build further.

Up above, there is an EOTech EXPS2-0 Holographic Weapon Sight. It's paired with the Vortex MICRO 3x Magnifier to get crystal-clear sight pictures and accuracy at various distances. This is all done with a Unity Tactical FAST Absolute Riser Mount and Omni Magnifier Mount for unparalleled flexibility.

To the side, the weapon light is a Surefire Mini Scout Weapon Light with a DS00 Tailcap. It runs the Unity Hot Button for actuating the flashlight.

Topping off this section of MCX Spear LT upgrades is the Silencer Co. Omega 300 Suppressor. This offers discreet, ear-safe operation without compromising performance. The Suppressor Cover at 6" ensures heat mitigation and provides protection in case I need to sling up a gun with a hot can. Burns of any degree make a range day blow.

Rounding it out

For aesthetics, the Forward Controls Design EPC Billet 7075 Ejection Port Cover provides a nice little bit of flashiness.

Staccato 2011 P DPO Steel Frame 9mm Pistol

Now we'll shift our focus to elegance and precision. Enter the Staccato 2011 P DPO steel frame 9mm Pistol with 4.4” barrel. With its DLC finish and ergonomic design, this masterpiece promises reliability and accuracy in every shot.

Optics and Ergonomics

My Staccato P is enhanced with the Trijicon SRO Red Dot Sight mounted via the Staccato 2011 DPO3 Optic Mount System, ensuring rapid target acquisition and enhanced shooting experience. The Surefire X300T-A Turbo LED Weapon Light and Emissary Development Paddle Shifter V2 Package offer superior control and illumination in any scenario.
